Chris Mikulasek specializes in figure and portrait sculptures and drawings. She has studied the human figure as an anatomist and creative artist for over twenty years. Her expressive figures and portraits have won many awards and are included in collections throughout the United States and Europe. In 1998 Mikulasek was awarded the Alex Ettl Prize by the National Sculpture Society, for “notable achievement in American Sculpture through a distinguished body of work.”
Apassionata is a Portrait of Ludwig von Beethoven about ten years before he died. At theat time the composer was completely deaf, but created some of the greatest music ever heard.
